Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind Crockett
Published in Hardcover by William Morrow (March, 1985)

Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind Crockett: A Tall Tall
Steven Kellogg is wonderful telling the story of Sally Ann from her birth, her running, and the bear battle, to meeting and marrying Davey Crockett. Very strong woman. This folklore tale has excellent color illustrations. I would highly recommend this one for reading to and by the K through the 8th grade, along with a recommendation for teachers and parents, also.

one of my favorite chidren's books!
This was a great book especially for young girls. It tells the story of a female hero and all her adventures. Even after marrying Davy Crockett, one of the most famous folk hero's, Sally Ann remains independent and the greatest hero in the book. I highly recomend it to anyone, especially those interested in folk tales.

Sing and Change the World: From Davy Crockett to Princess Di...Dozens of Voices Show You How
Published in Paperback by Aslan Pub (November, 2002)
Author: David Edward Dayton
Average review score:

Excellent, Entertaining and A Great Gift Book!
I highly enjoyed reading Sing & Change The World. I was inspired by the stories, letters, and facts that were presented in the book. This book needs to be read by people who don't have singing in their lives. It might change their life.

The Perfect Holiday Gift
David Dayton weaves tales of historical trivia with first-person letters from celebrities and his circle of friends (including me)to shed light on the phenomenon that singing is universal -- it relieves pain, saves lives, serves as a memory aid -- and is just plain enjoyable.

I felt awkward about reviewing a book that I saw take shape during our Thanksgiving dinners, New Year's Eve parties, and life cycle events. That's when I realized that the best person to tell you about "Sing and Change the World" is someone who watched its development from the bubble of an idea to a complete literary work. This is the book you buy for your friends who think they can sing and the ones who are afraid to try, the karaoke lover and the solitary hummer -- bottom line, everyone! Even the Grinch would adore this book.

Barnaby

Author: Crockett Johnson
Average review score:

One of the most wonderful comic strips of all time
It is a crying shame that Barnaby is now out of print, except for the reprints in Comics Revue magazine. This is a book that deserves to be kept in print forever. Write to Dover, and urge them to reissue it.

Like the Records Listings and Photos
I love to hunt elk, deer and antelope and wrote the book Colorado's Biggest Bucks and Bulls, so I found this book very helpful when including B&C big game from Colorado in my book listings and index. The field photographs are excellent and the design is clever. I am especially fond of the records listings because it helps me plan my future hunts.

Bulbs
Published in Library Binding by Time Life (June, 1971)
Author: James Underwood Crockett
Average review score:

Everything you want to know about bulbs
Aside from having many colorful plates, there is a lot of quality information on history and how-to with bulbs.
In the chapter "Flowers for all Climates, all seasons" you
•What bulbs are
•How to buy bulbs
•The different kinds of bulbs
•The growth cycle of bulbs
•Where to plant bulbs
•When to plant bulbs
•How to plant bulbs
•Propagating Bulbs

This is just a fraction of what is available in the book. It is important to read up on bulbs as the information is not intuitive.

My favorite book ever
I read this book during my junior year of high school, I literally couldn't put it down. I had just picked it up off the shelf at the library my mom works at and started reading it. Ended up falling in love with it, but I forgot to write down the authors name. So for the past 5 years I've been trying to find it. Today I finally found it, almost by accident, and I am SO happy. Seriously, this book is so well written and it drags you into the story.

Crockett's Flower Garden
Published in Paperback by Little Brown & Co (Pap) (April, 1981)
Authors: James Underwood Crockett and Marjorie Waters
Average review score:

Wonderful reference guide to flower gardening
Crockett's Flower Garden is a fantastic reference book for anyone who enjoys gardening, novice or experienced. The book is written in month-by-month format, which makes it easy to follow and easy to chart your gardening tasks.

Crockett's love for gardening shows through, as does his practical approach. He discusses both, buying plants and starting from seed (when practical).

I highly recommend the book.

Davy Crockett
Published in Paperback by Univ of Nebraska Pr (June, 1998)
Authors: Constance Rourke, James MacDonald, and Michael A. Lofaro
Average review score:

Great read! Davy is a corker!
Some have complained, over the years, that this book was more novel than biography. Okay, then... what a great NOVEL! This was in my elementary school library in Elgin, AZ, and if I'd studied my textbooks like I studied this, I might have been a MONSTER! Connie Roarke made a great book, and I bless her name for it!

BONUS: Read how Davy was a true Small-government conservative in the Jacksonian (read that "Proto-Clintonian") big-government epoch! It's the true hero tale of the book!
